Ramsey RAF Camp Wedding Photography | A&L

Amber and Lee were married at All Saints Church in the picturesque village of Pidley, near Ramsey in Huntingdonshire, followed by a reception party held at the 1940’s RAF Camp, Ramsey.

All Saints Church, having close family ties and with Lee’s cattle grazing in the neighbouring fields, was the perfect choice for the ceremony on what proved to be a bitterly cold and extremely windy day for the time of year.  This did not dampen anyone’s spirits however and it was a beautiful happy occasion, enjoyed by everyone in attendance.

Lee arrived in his huge JCB Tractor before Amber arrived in a beautiful vintage Jaguar which was also the transportation for the short journey from  Church to the reception party at the 1940’s RAF Camp.  It was my first visit to the 1940’s Camp at Ramsey.  A massive complex with several huge buildings and really quaint 1940s themed shop fronts and a NAAFI to set the scene perfectly.  The reception party was in a huge, beautifully decorated barn.

There were lots of outdoor games arranged for guests to participate in resulting in so much fun and laughter,  giant Jenga, and tug of war spring to mind!  A teacup carousel for the little ones also proved popular with the adults!

Unbeknown to guests, singing waiters mixed in with the catering staff, until the time arose for them to start their hilarious performance.  It was so funny and highly entertaining, a great way to get guests in the party mood.

What a lovely fun-filled wedding and a privilege to be able to attend.

Here are some of our favourite images from the day by kind permission of the happy couple.
